About The Position

Herschend is hiring a Server Assistant for Jolene’s, an 85-seat lounge on the top floor of Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel in downtown Nashville. The position supports restaurant operations and helps deliver excellent dining experiences through proper service standards while maintaining a positive work environment for fellow hosts and vendors.

The role is part of the hotel’s opening efforts and contributes to meaningful experiences for hosts, guests, and the community, as well as the success of the hotel’s offerings. The successful candidate will bring a genuine passion for hospitality and work in keeping with Herschend’s Heartspitality® culture. The position may also require working in other disciplines within the department as directed by management.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain Food Handler certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer knowledge and usage preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check with the Manager for daily objectives.
• Assist the service and kitchen teams by bringing complete food orders from the kitchen to the dining room and serving food according to trained guidelines.
• Clear and reset tables as needed.
• Inspect the dining room for cleanliness.
• Provide excellent dining experiences through proper steps of service.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in compliance with local and federal health codes.
• Work in other disciplines within the department as directed by management.
• Participate in daily lineups.
• Practice service standards and current training throughout service.
