About The Position

The Server Assistant/Food Runner supports service in the Merion Dining Room at Atlanta Athletic Club by helping deliver an exceptional dining experience to members and guests. The role supports servers, ensures timely and accurate food delivery, maintains an orderly dining area, and assists with other tasks that enhance the guest experience. The successful candidate is prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and committed to memorable guest service.

The position requires availability Thursday, Friday, and Saturday afternoons and evenings until 10:00 p.m. Prior fine dining experience is preferred, though training may be provided to the right candidate.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Comfort standing for extended periods and carrying heavy trays.
• Positive attitude and ability to build strong team relationships.
• Friendly, service-oriented personality and commitment to exceeding expectations.
• Availability Thursday, Friday, and Saturday afternoons/evenings until 10:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Support Atlanta Athletic Club’s mission and values through excellent service.
• Assist colleagues on the floor and with side work to foster teamwork.
• Complete opening and closing side work for each shift.
• Prepare tables, chairs, and dining setups before guests are seated.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the dining room throughout the shift.
• Provide outstanding customer service and fulfill guest requests promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and beverage offerings.
• Assist servers with delivering plates and replenishing beverages.
• Clear and reset tables, regularly removing used plates and glassware.
• Monitor and restock condiment inventory as needed.
• Support other departments and club functions when required.
