About The Position

Delaware North's Patina Group is hiring seasonal Server Assistants to work at State Grill and Bar in New York, New York. The role is responsible for expediting food from the kitchen to guests promptly while responding to changing needs in the restaurant. The position offers training opportunities and mentorship. It is a tipped position; the listed hourly minimum pay does not include potential tipped earnings. Requirements

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
No high school diploma or GED is required.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of experience or training as a Runner or Busser in a similar style of dining, capacity, and volume is preferred.

Responsibilities

Attend pre-shift briefings and note important service information.
Collaborate with the Chef, kitchen team members, and servers to ensure timely food preparation and delivery; assist with assembling dishes.
Complete required table-side service, which may include taking and delivering orders and explaining the menu to guests.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparations, and identify items and ingredients by appearance.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining room.
