We are seeking an experienced Mechanic for our state-of-the-art metal recycling yard in New Orleans, LA. This is a Full-Time position. We have heavy equipment such as material handlers, front end loaders, excavators, and conveyor belts that are essential to our operations. The ideal candidate will have flexibility to work on heavy equipment and machinery, performing planned and preventative maintenance, including fuel and lubrication, inspecting and testing, diagnosing malfunctions, and dismantling/reassembling equipment. The Mechanic will also work on facility conveyor belts and other machinery. We are seeking a skilled Mechanic with at least 5 years of maintenance experience, with a background in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical areas. Experience in repairing metal processing equipment and trucks is helpful. Compensation is dependent on experience.

Requirements

At least 5 years of maintenance experience.
Background in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical areas.
Flexibility to work on heavy equipment as well as machinery.

Nice To Haves

Experience in repair of metal processing equipment.
Experience in repair of trucks.

Responsibilities

Maintain equipment through planned and preventative maintenance procedures as directed.
Perform fuel and lubrication tasks.
