About The Position

GEICO is seeking a skilled SEO & AI Search Content Writer to join their team, focusing on the Commercial Insurance sector. This role involves combining expertise in storytelling, digital marketing, and the strategic use of AI-assisted tools to produce high-impact content that drives traffic, engagement, and conversions for Commercial business initiatives. The position emphasizes integrating AI to enhance ideation, streamline workflows, and optimize content performance, ensuring alignment with GEICO’s brand voice, marketing objectives, and industry standards. The role will focus on advancing GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) initiatives, ensuring content meets modern search intent and delivers value across emerging search platforms. The SEO & AI Search Content Writer will collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and cross-functional teams to create content that ranks well and resonates with audiences. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Strategy, SEO, this role operates in a collaborative environment utilizing cutting-edge tools and technologies to maintain GEICO’s leadership in the digital Commercial Insurance space. This position is ideal for candidates passionate about blending creativity with technology and with a proven track record in SEO and AI Search-driven content creation.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of professional copywriting experience, preferably within an agency or in-house creative team, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse work across digital formats.
  • Proven experience in creating SEO-driven content, including keyword optimization, on-page SEO, and a solid understanding of search intent, topical depth, and structured formatting.
  • Strong understanding of emerging GEO and AEO strategies, with experience in optimizing content for LLMs, structuring information to align with answer engine algorithms, and meeting modern search intent.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI-powered tools to enhance content creation workflows, ideation, and optimization.
  • Strong ability to translate marketing briefs and strategic concepts into clear, engaging, and impactful written content tailored to specific audience needs.
  • Experience tracking and analyzing content performance metrics, with the ability to derive actionable insights to refine strategies and improve results.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with designers, marketers, and SEO specialists to achieve campaign objectives.
  • Understanding of Google algorithm updates, SEO trends, and the Commercial Insurance SEO ecosystem, with the ability to assess risks and opportunities.
  • Exceptional proofreading and editing skills, ensuring all content meets brand, high-quality, and SEO standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver high-quality, strategic copy for the Commercial insurance business, including landing pages, blog posts, long-form SEO articles and more, tailored to the target audience.
  • Utilize AI-powered tools to streamline content creation workflows, generate ideas, and optimize outputs while maintaining brand voice and high-quality standards.
  • Develop content that adheres to traditional SEO principles (e.g., keyword optimization, on-page SEO) and incorporate emerging GEO/AEO strategies to meet search intent and perform effectively on voice search and answer engines.
  • Track, analyze, and report on the performance of Commercial insurance-focused SEO content efforts. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies, improve results, and adapt messaging based on customer behavior and search trends.
  • Review and refine AI-generated content for tone, consistency, and effectiveness, ensuring all outputs meet brand, high-quality, and SEO and GEO/AEO standards.
  • Stay informed about Google algorithm updates, AI advancements, and trends in the commercial insurance SEO ecosystem. Assess risks and opportunities specific to the sector and apply best practices to maintain a competitive content edge.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance content creation workflows, including refining AI prompts, developing reusable frameworks, and establishing structured processes for efficiency and scalability.
  • Ensure all content adheres to GEICO’s brand guidelines, voice, and messaging standards while addressing the unique needs of the Commercial insurance audience.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and cross-functional teams to support content creation, content planning, and execution timelines, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and legal compliance.
  • Foster a data-informed culture by testing new content ideas within the Commercial insurance space, gathering insights, and implementing scalable solutions to drive business growth.
  • Facilitate the creation and publication of online articles and digital content by collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing workflows, uploading content to the internal CMS when needed, and ensuring timely delivery in alignment with brand and SEO standards.
