About The Position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Worldwide (WW) GTM Specialist to help accelerate our Communication Developer Services (CDS) business, focusing on End User Messaging, SNS A2P, and Simple Email Service. This role is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP), where specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their technology domains. The WW GTM Specialist will develop solutions, offerings, and programs to address customer and partner needs, and lead initiatives to accelerate customer adoption and support sales. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute key strategies and programs, assemble compelling evidence for customers, and support customer engagements. The role requires a business and IT background to engage with senior leaders at enterprises, MMB, SMB, partners, and internally. The ideal candidate will have the technical depth and business experience to articulate the value proposition of improving customer communication through CPaaS channels like email, SMS, push notifications, telephony, audio, and video, and high-scale inbound and outbound email. They should be able to explore how building a multichannel architecture can shift user habits and increase satisfaction. This person will demonstrate strategic long-term thinking for complex global businesses while executing in the short term to deliver results and optimize ROI. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of business development, strategic partnerships, and/or program/product management experience with national and/or international scope
  • 5+ years selling or driving partnerships and programs around cloud, hosted and managed services in technology industry
  • 5+ years’ experience selling enterprise datacenter and/or application technologies, preferably cloud based

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations
  • Experience in AWS services
  • Experience working with partners including leading GSIs and ISVs
  • Experience with CPaaS channels like email, SMS, push notifications, telephony, audio, and video, high-scale inbound and outbound email
  • Complex agreement negotiation skills and experience, and business and financial acumen
  • Strong analytical skills, and demonstrated ability to turn detailed data analysis into useful strategic insight in order to drive customer adoption and make appropriate recommendations to the business
  • Ability to develop business justifications for cloud technology roadmap adoption
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations

Responsibilities

  • Define, build and deploy sales, business development and GTM strategies to help acquire new customers and help them successfully deploy desktops and applications on AWS
  • Define key customer segments to target, driving the necessary business and technical relationships with customers and partners to establish new business in new customer segments, deliver artifacts and enablement that enables the sales teams to drive successful new business in order to build long-term business opportunity
  • Engage enterprise lighthouse customers and partners about the CDS value proposition, including senior level customer and partner meetings to discuss business issues and helps customers and partners achieve business outcomes
  • Establish ways to measure and track key mechanisms and programs related to adoption of CDS, and use data to optimize ROI
  • Serve as an evangelist CDS externally and within AWS
  • Own creation and orchestration of the strategic business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales teams, product service teams, legal, support, etc.)
