The Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) is responsible for the safe, reliable, and economic planning and operation of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System. They provide open and non-discriminatory access to Alberta’s interconnected power grid and facilitate Alberta’s competitive wholesale electricity market. The AESO strives to foster an inclusive, diverse and equitable workplace. The Senior Workday HRIS Analyst will join the People & Culture team, reporting to the Team Lead, Total Rewards and HRIS. This role serves as a strategic lead in the governance, optimization, and evolution of AESO’s Workday Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring the platform effectively supports organizational priorities and workforce strategies. The analyst is accountable for delivering advanced people analytics and insights to inform executive decision-making, providing thought leadership in workforce analytics, and continuously improving HRIS functionality, data integrity, and reporting capabilities. They will also contribute to enterprise data strategies and ensure alignment between HR systems and broader organizational objectives, playing a critical role in ensuring HR systems, processes, and data governance practices meet stringent compliance and security standards.
