About The Position

Top Metal Solutions is seeking highly skilled and experienced welders to join our growing fabrication team as a Senior Welder. This position is designed for dependable professionals who can consistently produce high-quality work, solve fabrication challenges, maintain production efficiency, and support overall shop operations with minimal supervision. As a Senior Welder, you will play a key role in complex fabrication projects, structural assemblies, and custom manufacturing operations. This position requires advanced welding ability, strong fabrication knowledge, leadership by example, and the ability to maintain quality and productivity in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for experienced welders who take pride in craftsmanship, understand manufacturing standards, and can contribute to a high-performance production team. The Senior Welder is responsible for performing advanced welding and fabrication work on structural and custom metal assemblies while maintaining high quality and production standards. This role requires strong experience in MIG and Flux-Core welding, blueprint interpretation, fabrication support, troubleshooting, and independent project execution. The ideal candidate is capable of handling complex welding tasks, assisting with production problem-solving, and supporting junior team members when needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of welding and fabrication experience preferred
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, structural welding, or custom fabrication environments required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong blueprint reading and fabrication interpretation skills
  • Proven ability to maintain quality and productivity standards
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attendance and reliability
  • Strong work ethic and leadership mentality
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly
  • Ability to bend, kneel, push, pull, and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Ability to work safely around machinery and welding equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Experience with structural steel or heavy fabrication projects
  • Flux-Core structural welding experience
  • Experience mentoring or training junior welders
  • Forklift experience is a plus
  • Welding certifications are a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced MIG welding on structural and custom fabricated components
  • Perform Flux-Core welding for heavy-duty and structural applications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production specifications
  • Set up and adjust welding equipment and parameters properly
  • Perform fitting, alignment, and fabrication support as required
  • Maintain high-quality weld appearance and structural integrity
  • Identify and correct welding or fabrication issues
  • Assist with troubleshooting production and fabrication problems
  • Support production efficiency and workflow improvements
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior welders when needed
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain safe work practices and follow all company safety procedures
  • Support team productivity and project completion goals
