About The Position

Top Metal Solutions is seeking experienced and dependable welders to join our fabrication and manufacturing team as a Production Welder. This position is ideal for individuals who can consistently produce high-quality welds, maintain production efficiency, and work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a Production Welder, you will play a critical role in the fabrication of metal structures, components, and assemblies used in a variety of industrial and commercial projects. This role requires strong welding skills, attention to detail, production consistency, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. We are looking for team members who take pride in quality workmanship, understand production expectations, and are committed to safety and continuous improvement. The Production Welder is responsible for performing production-level welding and fabrication tasks on structural and custom metal components. This position requires the ability to work independently, maintain consistent weld quality, follow fabrication drawings, and meet production deadlines while supporting overall shop efficiency. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments and can perform MIG and Flux-Core welding with consistency and minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Strong MIG welding experience required
  • Flux-Core welding experience required
  • Ability to weld in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions
  • Ability to maintain consistent weld quality in a production environment
  • Understanding of weld penetration, distortion, and weld appearance
  • Ability to work from blueprints and fabrication drawings
  • Familiarity with fabrication tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment
  • Ability to meet production and quality expectations consistently
  • 3-5 years of welding experience preferred
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication environments required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong understanding of welding safety and shop procedures
  • Ability to maintain productivity and quality standards
  • Good attendance and reliability
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Experience with structural or custom fabrication projects
  • Flux-Core welding experience
  • Blueprint reading experience
  • Experience working with production schedules and deadlines
  • Forklift experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform production MIG welding on fabricated metal components and assemblies
  • Perform Flux-Core welding as required for structural or heavy-duty applications
  • Read and interpret work orders, fabrication drawings, and production prints
  • Set up and adjust welding machines and equipment properly
  • Perform fitting, alignment, and assembly support as needed
  • Maintain consistent weld quality and production efficiency
  • Inspect welds visually and identify defects or inconsistencies
  • Grind and finish parts to meet quality standards
  • Work independently while maintaining production schedules
  • Follow safety procedures, quality standards, and shop policies
  • Assist with troubleshooting basic fabrication and welding issues
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
