About The Position

Apex Companies is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to help shape water infrastructure projects. The role involves designing and evaluating water and wastewater treatment systems, leading development and review of project documents, providing technical guidance, managing project resources and delivery, coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies on permits and compliance, and overseeing construction observation and management. The position is with Forsgren Associates, a newly acquired Apex Company, and offers autonomy, flexibility, professional development, and the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a longstanding business.

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (PE) registration, or ability to obtain it within six months.
• At least 10 years of hands-on experience in water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Deep understanding of relevant technical and regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Create and review construction plans, master reports, and other critical project documents.
• Provide technical guidance and ensure projects and teams meet quality standards.
• Manage resources to deliver projects across regions on time and to specification.
• Collaborate with clients and regulatory agencies on permits and compliance.
• Lead construction observation and management from project concept through completion.
