About The Position

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Senior Water Project Engineer/Manager for our Saratoga Springs, NY office. As part of our design and process teams, you will be working on all phases of water projects from concept development, project planning, applied research, study, advising through detailed design, construction, and operations. Hazen and Sawyer is an employee-owned company with a singular focus on "all things water." Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental engineering
• PE license
• 12+ years of experience in municipal water treatment, water quality, water treatment technology, or manufacturing
• Experience in successfully delivering projects spanning multiple years in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams
• Proficient in all MS Office based computer software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
• Self-starter with attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Must be capable of presenting complex issues to nontechnical people

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Civil/Environmental Engineering

Responsibilities

• Project management, design, planning, operational support, and business development with a focus on drinking water projects.
• Supporting and developing proposal development.
• Helping to identify, hire, supervise and mentor junior drinking water staff.
• Direct coordination and collaboration with clients.
• Coordination with internal technical specialists in all practice areas and discipline design professionals for project delivery.
• Managing projects to meet client expectations, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Following internal Hazen processes to ensure quality delivery of engineering projects for clients.
• Technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments on small/medium/large projects.
• Performing planning, studies, design, and support of projects through design, construction, and operation.
• Evaluate progress of the project staff and results obtained and recommend changes to achieve overall project objective.
• Help advance growth initiatives in upstate New York and the Northeast.
