Senior VP of Health and Safety
About The Position
Utilize your passion for safety and executive leadership to become our Senior Vice President of Health & Safety. As the Senior VP of Health & Safety for our cooperative, you will shape and lead a company-wide culture where safety is more than a priority, it is a core value woven into every aspect of our operations. You will develop and execute strategic health, safety, environmental, compliance, and risk management initiatives that protect our employees, patrons, facilities, and communities. Partner with leaders across the organization to proactively identify risks, strengthen compliance, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance. Lead incident investigations, workers compensation, emergency preparedness efforts, regulatory reporting, and safety performance measurement to ensure operational excellence. Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of safety, environmental, and compliance professionals while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership. Represent Farmers Cooperative as a champion for safety excellence by cultivating relationships with regulators, industry partners, and community stakeholders. Serve as a visible leader throughout our trade territory, engaging directly with employees in the field and reinforcing our commitment to ensuring everyone goes home safely every day.
Requirements
- Executive leadership experience in health and safety
- Experience in developing and executing strategic health, safety, environmental, compliance, and risk management initiatives
- Ability to partner with leaders across an organization
- Experience leading incident investigations, workers compensation, emergency preparedness, and regulatory reporting
- Experience building, mentoring, and leading a team of safety, environmental, and compliance professionals
- Ability to serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership
- Experience cultivating relationships with regulators, industry partners, and community stakeholders
- Visible leadership presence and ability to engage directly with employees
