About The Position

HelloKindred, specialists in staffing marketing, creative, and technology roles, are seeking an Ad hoc Senior Video/Animation Designer for a 3-month contract (with potential extension) supporting a leader in world-class workforce solutions. This remote, ad hoc role involves approximately 7-10 hours per week, focusing on video and animation design projects for a new company platform launch. The designer will create short demo videos, animated snippets, mock platform experiences, and marketing-focused video content, translating existing UI/UX and Figma designs into engaging, editable assets. The role requires independent work and a focus on quick-turnaround projects, maintaining editable source files for future use.

Requirements

• Mid-to-senior-level experience as a Video, Motion and/or Animation Designer.
• Strong experience creating short-form video, motion graphics, animation, and marketing focused visual content.
• Proficiency with Figma is strongly preferred as well as Adobe Creative Suite and other video/animation tools.
• Experience animating UI/UX designs, Figma files, mockups, or digital product interfaces.
• Ability to create editable video and animation files for continued collaboration and future updates.
• Strong visual storytelling skills and the ability to translate scripts and product functionality into concise video content.
• Ability to work independently and manage quick-turnaround, ad hoc creative requests.
• Availability during September and the contract period to support time-sensitive launch and conference deliverables.
• Experience working with stock footage and assets, screen recordings, and digital product demonstrations.
• Comfort creating video design of technology platforms and collaborating with teams to understand product functionality without directly owning UI/UX design.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to live and work in the country where the position is based, without requiring employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Create short, approximately 15-second, video and animation assets for technology platform launches and marketing initiatives.
• Develop demo videos and on-screen technology content supporting a major conference launch.
• Animate existing UI/UX designs and Figma files to showcase platform functionality and create engaging visual demonstrations.
• Build mock platforms and simulated platform experiences when live product interfaces are not available or suitable for video production.
• Translate scripts into visual sequences, determining where stock footage, screen recordings, animations, and platform snippets should be incorporated.
• Produce marketing-focused video snippets using stock footage, screen captures, and demonstrations of platform functionality.
• Collaborate with the team to understand how the platforms work and determine the most effective ways to communicate functionality visually.
• Work independently on quick-turnaround, ad hoc projects while maintaining editable source files for continued use and updates.
• Use Figma and Adobe Creative Suite and suitable video/animation design tools to create, animate, and refine video and motion design assets.
• Assist with other ad hoc video/animation design projects as needed.
