About The Position

A family-run, self-funded, vertically integrated multifamily owner-developer in Baltimore is hiring a Senior Vice President of Construction to lead its in-house general contracting division. The company also operates its own property management company and has an award-winning portfolio of high-rise towers and transit-oriented mid-rise developments. This is an owner-side executive role focused exclusively on the company’s portfolio, not third-party contracting or owner’s-representative consulting. The successful candidate will take operational, financial, and executive accountability for the construction division, reporting directly to ownership. The role leads preconstruction and design input, project delivery, division-wide systems and processes, and the development of construction leadership. The position is the organization’s top construction leadership role and offers an earned path toward long-term equity or LTI participation as a long-tenured executive transitions into retirement.

Requirements

  • Experience leading an in-house general contracting division or construction group within a vertically integrated multifamily owner-developer.
  • Delivered both high-rise steel and concrete multifamily projects and wood-frame mid-rise podium or wrap projects.

  • Deep regional roots, active trade relationships, and project history across the Mid-Atlantic, including Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington, DC, Delaware, and Virginia.
  • Strong preconstruction and estimating background, with a track record of building accurate budgets before drawings are complete.
  • Experience building or modernizing operational systems, workflows, and software standards such as Procore, Yardi, or equivalent platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Professional written communication skills and a detail-driven, hands-on, low-ego leadership style.
