About The Position

Utah First Credit Union is seeking a Senior Vice President, Information Technology to join their team in Salt Lake City. This role is for an experienced IT leader who can not only manage and improve systems but also lead with empathy and develop those around them. The SVP will play a crucial role in shaping the credit union's operations and member experience through technology, contributing to enterprise priorities and long-range planning. The position involves leading the IT organization with a focus on prioritization and execution, guiding technology strategy and investment decisions, overseeing core systems and vendor relationships, and building/mentoring high-performing technology teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in information technology
  • Experience with Symitar and Jack Henry
  • Takes ownership of projects, processes, and outcomes
  • Practices what they preach and leads by example
  • Knows when to push, listen, or rethink
  • Cares about the mission as much as the metrics
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information technology, business, or a related field
  • Strong experience in project management, vendor management, and cross functional collaboration
  • Experience with Jack Henry and Symitar
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technology concepts into business relevant terms
  • Demonstrated success leading organizations and IT teams through growth, change and transformation

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior management leader who partners closely with the executive team, contributing to enterprise priorities and long-range planning through a technology and delivery lens.
  • Lead an IT organization with a strong emphasis on prioritization and execution, ensuring initiatives are well scoped, properly governed, and delivered on time, within budget.
  • Guide technology strategy and investment decisions, balancing innovation with operational stability and long-term sustainability through a tremendous growth cycle.
  • Provide senior leadership oversight of core systems and vendor relationships, ensuring strong performance, scalability, and value realization.
  • Build, mentor, and lead high performing technology leaders and teams, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
