About The Position

BNY is seeking a Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join its Conventional Trust Client Platform team in Lake Mary, Florida. The role combines hands-on engineering expertise with architectural leadership to modernize Conventional Debt Systems. The engineer will lead development of scalable full-stack applications and distributed microservices, influence platform technology direction, and guide engineering teams through complex, multi-year transformation programs. The position involves building software with modern development practices and AI tools, and executing the full software development lifecycle with attention to security, privacy, and quality assurance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
10–14 years of experience in software development.
Expert-level proficiency in advanced Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot for building microservices.
Strong expertise with relational databases, specifically Oracle, and data modeling, including canonical data models and JSON.
Deep experience with enterprise messaging platforms such as Kafka and IBM MQ.
Proven experience implementing AI/ML solutions using Python or other frameworks to solve business problems.
Full-stack development experience, including RESTful APIs and front-end frameworks such as Angular.
Experience with cloud and containerization technologies.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks.
Proven experience with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development.
Knowledge of Docker, container orchestration, and application engine deployments.
Ability to address and fix security vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF.
Critical-thinking mindset focused on execution and continuous learning.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Lead implementation of scalable, robust full-stack applications using Core Java, Advanced Java, Kafka, and Angular.
Design a modernized distributed microservice architecture and build scalable, robust system designs.
Provide hands-on technical programming expertise and architectural leadership for the digital modernization of Conventional Debt Systems.
Influence the platform’s technology direction through innovative solutions and best practices.
Lead engineering teams through complex, multi-year transformation programs and ensure successful delivery.
Develop applications using test-driven development, Spring Boot microservices architecture, and AI tools.
Execute the full software development lifecycle, applying security, privacy, and quality assurance best practices.
