About The Position

City Year New Hampshire seeks an Executive Director who will lead the organization through a multi-year chapter of execution, growth, and long-term impact. The Executive Director is responsible for CYNH’s overall leadership, strategy, performance, sustainability, and growth, while also serving as a Senior Vice President of City Year Inc. The role combines local leadership in New Hampshire with opportunities to contribute CYNH’s learning and experience to City Year’s national strategy. The leader will build on CYNH’s record of student impact, community credibility, and partnerships, while advancing the 7-Year Promise: an alumni-powered Student Success Network intended to provide students with sustained mentorship, social capital, and opportunity from elementary school through high school, post-secondary pathways, and early career. The Executive Director will develop this initiative into an excellent, evidence-informed, sustainable model and share learning with the broader field. The position leads an organization currently comprising approximately 14 staff and 40 AmeriCorps members. The Executive Director will ensure high-quality delivery of City Year’s Whole School, Whole Child® model, strengthen student outcomes and community partnerships, develop the staff and corps, and guide responsible corps growth from approximately 40 members in FY27 toward 60 by FY31. The Executive Director serves as CYNH’s chief fundraiser, mobilizing staff and advisory board leaders and cultivating corporations, foundations, major donors, and other partners. The first five-year phase of the 7-Year Promise calls for approximately $18 million in total investment, including a $12 million private philanthropy goal. The role also oversees disciplined stewardship of an approximately $3.5 million annual operating budget and public, district, and philanthropic resources. The Executive Director will be a visible ambassador for CYNH, build relationships across New Hampshire, engage elected officials and other leaders, oversee AmeriCorps grants and compliance, and activate alumni and community influence.
