About The Position

UrgentVet is seeking a part-time Senior Veterinary Assistant to provide patient care, team leadership, and client service in a fast-paced urgent care clinic. UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency and overnight care, treating canine and feline patients for common urgent conditions. Its paperless clinics use cloud-based electronic medical records, digital X-ray, and IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment. The role requires regular on-site presence to support patient care, time-sensitive needs, collaboration with clinical teams, and the safety and well-being of patients, clients, and staff. Requirements

Prior customer service experience.
Prior experience working with animals in a hospital setting.
Animal handling experience, including patient restraint, sample collection, and monitoring.
Clinical skills including phlebotomy, catheter placement, laboratory analysis, and drug calculation.
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Professionalism, dependability, positive communication, multitasking ability, strong work ethic, and social and organizational skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Regular on-site presence is required as an essential function of the role.
