About The Position

Heartline Staffing is recruiting for a Senior Veterinarian opportunity with a private practice in the Boston area. This role involves overseeing a state-of-the-art veterinary facility, working alongside veterinarians and hospital staff, and providing full-time veterinary care. The position offers the chance to support the growth of the veterinary team as the facility expands and has the potential to evolve into a Director of Operations role, managing multiple facilities. The facility is expected to eventually operate 7 days a week.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of veterinarian experience working in a veterinary hospital.
• Eligible to obtain Massachusetts State Veterinary License.
• Experience examining, diagnosing, and treating pets surgically or medically.
• Experience performing dentals.
• Experience administering core vaccinations and counseling clients in well-pet care.
• Ability to work onsite in the Boston area.

Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets, primarily dogs and cats.
• Treat patients surgically and medically.
• Collaborate within the veterinary ecosystem and communicate with referring veterinarians.
• Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training.
• Work with the Regional Operations Manager and Hospital Manager to maintain high standards of care.
• Administer core vaccinations and counsel clients on well-pet care.
• Perform dentals.
• Contribute to an enjoyable workplace for staff, clients, and pets.
• Manage time, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
