About The Position

This position serves as the clinical and technical leader within Boston Medical Center's IAC Accredited Vascular Laboratory. The Senior Vascular Technologist will perform a full spectrum of advanced non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations with exceptional technical expertise. This role involves supervising, mentoring, and supporting vascular sonographers, promoting professional development and clinical excellence. The technologist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including vascular surgeons, cardiologists, neurologists, fellows, residents, and other vascular technologists. Responsibilities include providing oversight of technical image quality, quality assurance, and laboratory performance improvement initiatives. The role also assists with IAC reaccreditation, sonography student education, physician resident training, and departmental quality programs. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Vascular Technology, Ultrasound, or Allied Health Science with Accredited Vascular Ultrasound Certificate REQUIRED
  • ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) Certification REQUIRED (or Registry within 24 Months)
  • Minimum Four to Five Years of Vascular Ultrasound Experience REQUIRED
  • Proficiency Performing the Full Spectrum of Non-Invasive Vascular Examinations REQUIRED
  • Experience with All Vascular Laboratory Equipment REQUIRED
  • Strong Computer, Documentation, and Communication Skills REQUIRED
