Vascular Lab Technologist
About The Position
Memorial Health University Medical Center is hiring a Vascular Lab Technologist for its Angiography and Interventional Radiology Lab. The role supports diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment, including care for trauma, stroke interventions, and vascular conditions. The technologist works alongside radiologists and other healthcare professionals and follows departmental protocols for a Level I Trauma Center and DNV-designated Comprehensive Stroke facility. The position requires rotating weekday and weekend call, and the employee must be within 30 minutes of the hospital.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of cardiovascular technology, an accredited school of radiology, or hold an associate or baccalaureate degree in a clinically related health science field.
- Obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 60 days of employment start date.
- Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
- Obtain one of the following within 6 months of employment start date: ARRT-R (Radiography), RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), or RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist).
- Participate in rotating weekday and weekend call and remain within 30 minutes of the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Assist with diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures while minimizing risk to patients and team members in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Provide technical resources and scrub assistance using aseptic technique.
- Apply detailed knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and diagnostic and interventional radiology principles.
