About The Position
Sentara Vascular Specialists is now hiring a Full-Time Senior Vascular Lab Technologist (Medical Sonographer) in Hampton, VA! This role requires expertise in operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment, conducting non-invasive vascular tests, and interpreting preliminary results to support physicians in patient care. The technologist ensures high-quality imaging, adheres to safety protocols, and maintains accurate patient records. As a senior member of the team, this position will involve mentoring technologists and students. Responsible for contributing to the development of protocols and standards.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI (Required)
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) Cert OR Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required
- Related experience – 1 year (Required)
Responsibilities
- Performing advanced vascular ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular conditions.
- Operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment.
- Conducting non-invasive vascular tests.
- Interpreting preliminary results to support physicians in patient care.
- Ensuring high-quality imaging.
- Adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintaining accurate patient records.
- Mentoring technologists and students.
- Contributing to the development of protocols and standards.
