About The Position

The Global UX team at Target is responsible for improving and innovating digital experiences for Target's guests, team members, and partners. This role is within the Loyalty UX Team, focusing on shaping the future of Target's next-generation loyalty ecosystem. The designer will create experiences that make loyalty more rewarding, personalized, and integrated across digital and in-store touchpoints. This involves working closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, and other business partners to define and deliver end-to-end experiences for membership, rewards, personalization, and member engagement. The role requires translating complex business strategy into simple, intuitive experiences to deepen guest relationships and drive loyalty. It is suited for a systems thinker who enjoys solving complex, interconnected product challenges and designing multi-touchpoint experiences. The designer will use human-centered design thinking, balance business needs, deliver best-in-class design from concept to execution, and champion cross-functional experimentation. The role also involves contributing to the advancement of UX practices at Target and educating cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products at scale, or equivalent experience
  • Strong product design skills, including structuring and planning work, owning the design process, and delivering high-quality experiences from concept through execution
  • Proficiency in product design and prototyping tools (i.e., Figma)
  • Demonstrated strategic problem-solving, systems thinking, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to effectively use data and insights to set your direction and communicate your approach
  • Understanding of how design connects to, serves, and improves business outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full design process, from early discovery and strategic approach to ideation, design, testing asset delivery and production with engineers
  • Lead and contribute craft-specific work to large, complex projects with cross-team impact
  • Leverage insights, data and quantitative/qualitative research to identify and pursue user-centric outcomes within your product space
  • Create design deliverables representative of the design process phase – such as journey maps, wireframes, user flows, UI design and prototypes
  • Hold design work to a high standard of craft, including accessibility, user research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design
  • Contribute to a culture of human-centered practice within UX, product, and engineering teams
  • Navigate complexity and ambiguity delivering impact for guests and the business
