As a Senior UX Designer, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience and design of digital products for the healthcare marketing industry. You will create intuitive, accessible, and empathetic experiences for websites and interactive content targeting patients, healthcare providers (HCPs), and caregivers. You will manage end-to-end UX delivery for your projects, with strategic guidance from the UX Director. On larger projects, you will collaborate with a Lead UX Designer, contributing both hands-on skills and design thinking. Your work will directly influence individuals navigating complex health journeys, requiring a balance of business goals, user needs, and regulatory constraints.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of UX/product design experience, including leading design on projects end to end.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating full-lifecycle UX work (research, IA, wireframes, prototypes, and shipped experiences) across responsive web and interactive platforms.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including prototyping and component/design-system workflows.
  • Deep working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA) and inclusive design practices.
  • Solid grasp of visual design fundamentals (typography, color, layout, hierarchy).
  • Demonstrated experience planning, running, and synthesizing user research and usability testing.
  • Proficiency with UX/product analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Hotjar) to inform and measure design.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with comfort presenting to and defending decisions in front of clients.
  • Comfort integrating AI tools into a modern design workflow.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or medical communications.
  • Familiarity with regulated review processes (MLR/PRB) and compliant design considerations (fair balance, ISI placement, referencing).
  • Experience designing HCP- and patient-facing digital experiences.
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full UX lifecycle for projects, producing artifacts from concept to launch, including information architecture (sitemaps, taxonomies, navigation models, content structures), user flows & journey maps, wireframes (low- to high-fidelity), interactive prototypes (Figma), interaction & responsive design specifications, design specifications & developer handoff, accessibility annotations (WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA), regulated content structure, design QA, and UX design system contributions.
  • Plan and conduct user research and usability testing sessions, synthesizing findings into actionable insights to inform UX iterations.
  • Incorporate research and analytics to validate design decisions and measure success.
  • Collaborate closely with strategy, creative, copy, account, and development teams to translate requirements into intuitive solutions.
  • Serve as an advisor on accessibility and compliance standards to creative teams.
  • Act as a bridge between user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
  • Navigate regulated review workflows (e.g., MLR/PRB), designing in a way that supports the review process.
  • Confidently present design concepts to clients and internal stakeholders, articulating design choices and their strategic impact.
  • Facilitate workshops and design discussions, telling a compelling story through work.
  • Integrate AI tools into the design process for research synthesis, ideation, content drafting, prototyping, and documentation, while maintaining quality and critical judgment.
  • Stay curious about emerging AI capabilities and identify where they add value to UX outcomes.
