About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking a Senior UX Content Writer to develop user-centric content for the company's digital products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create seamless user experiences and ensure consistency, clarity, and effectiveness across all touchpoints. The position is hybrid remote, requiring a reasonable commute for occasional onsite work.

Requirements

• Associate degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience (UX) Design or related
• 5 years of UX content writing experience or similar
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with close attention to detail
• Understanding of UX/UI design principles and best practices, with the ability to collaborate with design and development teams
• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant work samples -- Include portfolio link with application
• Ability to occasionally travel with overnight stays (0-5%)
• Reliable transportation to travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday

Nice To Haves

• Related Bachelor degree
• Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), design tools (e.g., Figma), and prototyping software
• Experience working in a collaborative Agile environment with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop user-centric content for digital products to help users navigate the product.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, developers, equipment content designers, global content managers, product leads, and content strategist software to create seamless user experiences.
• Create new content for customer-facing applications, ensuring consistency, clarity, and effectiveness across all touchpoints.
• Collaborate with design and development teams to create and maintain content for the Design System.
• Write clear and concise guidelines, principles, and patterns for various UI components, ensuring consistency and usability across digital products.
• Update and improve Design System content based on user feedback, industry best practices, and evolving product requirements.
• Develop user-friendly content for web and mobile applications, including onboarding flows, product tours, error messages, tooltips, and in-app notifications.
• Conduct research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
• Integrate research findings into content creation processes.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure content aligns with design concepts and enhances the user experience.
• Conduct content audits and usability tests to identify areas for improvement and optimize existing content for clarity, consistency, and effectiveness.
• Utilize data-driven insights and analytics to measure the impact of content on user engagement, satisfaction, and conversion rates.
• Test different content variations to determine the most effective messaging and communication strategies.
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and goals, and ensure content solutions meet business objectives.
• Communicate content strategies, recommendations, and rationale to cross-functional teams, seeking feedback and buy-in as needed.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging tools for writing content.
• Champion UX writing best practices and advocate for the importance of clear, concise, and user-focused content within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
