About The Position

FloSports is a leading digital platform dedicated to underserved sports, offering live and on-demand streaming, original content, data, and technology to support the growth of sports communities from youth to professional levels. The company aims to connect passionate fans with sports by creating scale and providing tools for athletes, organizers, and rights holders to engage a global audience. FloSports streams over 50,000 events annually across various sports and is seeking individuals passionate about sports who embody values such as accountability, collaboration, curiosity, positivity, grit, and excellence. This role is part of a small, dedicated UX Research team, offering significant variety and impact across web, mobile, and connected TV products for 25 different sports. The position involves investigating a wide range of users and verticals using diverse methodologies, with research directly influencing products and leading to tangible changes. The role includes both generative and evaluative research, utilizing moderated and unmoderated studies, and contributing to the development of personas, journey maps, card sorts, tree tests, baseline studies, and iterative validation. There is potential for onsite contextual inquiries and collaborative development of research solutions. All research materials will be stored in a tagged repository, and the researcher will own and manage the taxonomy for persistent access to insights and artifacts. The role also involves analyzing behavioral analytics, designing and interpreting surveys, and presenting quantitative findings from unmoderated usability studies. The position includes mentorship opportunities for junior researchers and receiving mentorship.

Requirements

  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • 5+ years of experience in UX research
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Relevant portfolio
  • Ability to drive definition and certainty in an ambiguous environment
  • Willingness to travel

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in relevant field
  • Experience with a research repository system like EnjoyHQ, Dovetail, Condens, Aurelius, etc.
  • Experience with UX research platforms and tools like Maze, dscout, Optimal Workshop, Lookback, UserZoom, etc.
  • Experience with behavioral analytics platforms like Mixpanel, Pendo, Heap, Amplitude, etc.
  • Experience with Figma
  • Awareness of Agile and how to work in an Agile system
  • Experience with both B2C and B2B research studies

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct iterative usability tests
  • Plan and conduct UX research projects, including initial concept, method selection, execution, analysis, synthesis, reporting, and archiving.
  • Own and maintain the tagging taxonomy
  • Mentor junior researchers
