About The Position

EvenUp is seeking a Senior/Staff User Researcher to establish and scale a comprehensive research engine that will directly influence product strategy. This role is a "full-stack" position, encompassing Research Operations, hands-on Mixed-Methods Research, and Early Discovery Strategy. The successful candidate will build research infrastructure from the ground up, manage participant recruitment and compliance, and implement research tools. They will also conduct qualitative and quantitative studies, acting as a strategic partner to Design, Product, and Engineering leadership to validate concepts and shape strategy from the outset. This role is ideal for an analytical, scrappy, and business-minded researcher in a high-growth environment, comfortable with both quantitative user data and presenting business opportunities to executives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience in UX Research, Product Research, or a related field within a fast-paced B2B tech environment, operating at a Senior/Staff level.
  • Exceptional analytical skills (Quant & Qual), comfortable pulling and interpreting quantitative user engagement data and presenting Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) opportunities.
  • Proven track record of building Research Ops, including navigating compliance, managing NDAs, facilitating participant payouts, and optimizing research tools.
  • Strategic business acumen, able to connect user behaviors, adoption metrics, and revenue opportunities.
  • Ability to operate independently ('in the weeds') and strategically ('zoom out') to build scalable systems and present executive-level proposals.
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, with experience producing digestible research artifacts using creative mediums (videos, infographics).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience acting as a founding researcher or establishing a Research function from the ground up.
  • Experience leveraging AI to accelerate qualitative data synthesis or operations.

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale the foundational infrastructure for our research practice, including managing participant sourcing and evaluating/implementing research tools.
  • Design and conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative research, including analyzing user engagement, running sentiment analyses, and executing surveys, focus groups, and user interviews.
  • Lead early-stage exploratory research to evaluate product concepts and partner with leadership to influence product direction.
  • Synthesize complex data into creative artifacts like infographics, highlight videos, and presentations, connecting user needs to business value (ARR opportunities).
  • Proactively identify research needs based on quantitative data, draft proposals, conduct outreach, and develop actionable recommendations to drive product adoption.
