About The Position

Northbridge Senior Underwriters provide comprehensive solutions for commercial mid-market businesses, specifically supporting clients within the Healthcare, Education & Social Services (HESS) and Consumer Business Services teams. They collaborate closely with a diverse network of broker partners to gain a thorough understanding of each risk, enabling them to make informed underwriting decisions across property, casualty, and auto lines of business. These underwriters are dedicated to fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and utilize their extensive technical expertise to ensure accurate and responsible risk assessment. Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience in property, casualty, automobile
  • Completed, or pursuing your CIP designation
  • Strong customer service background
  • Team-first mentality

Responsibilities

  • Provide complete solutions for commercial mid-market businesses
  • Support clients within Healthcare, Education & Social Services (HESS) and Consumer Business Services teams
  • Work closely with a wide range of broker partners to gain a holistic understanding of each risk
  • Make sound underwriting decisions across property, casualty, and auto lines of business
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Leverage strong technical expertise to ensure risks are assessed accurately and responsibly
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development support to less experienced underwriters
  • Perform commercial underwriting
  • Engage in problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Create success in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
