About The Position

Accenture Construct is hiring a Senior Transmission Project Manager to lead the overall performance of complex, high-risk projects, with accountability for scope, quality, schedule, and innovation. The role manages project finances, scope, costs, scheduling, environmental considerations, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder relationships, while coordinating internal and external stakeholders and serving as the primary communicator with project sponsors and key stakeholders.

The Project Manager develops and presents status updates to the Program Manager and customer project management leadership, secures resources, reviews contractor invoices, and leads regular project meetings and presentations. The role also manages costs and recovery plans, clarifies team responsibilities and deliverables, and coaches team members in developing plans aligned with project goals. The position requires electrical utilities project management experience, including electric transmission and substation construction projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• 5 years’ experience in electrical utilities project management.
• Experience administering large dollar projects.
• Professional experience in electric transmission and substation construction projects.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Accenture requirements.

Nice To Haves

• PMP certification or willingness to obtain PMP within 1 year.
• Ability to coordinate work scope with multiple work groups or contractors.
• Proficient experience in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety policies.
• Knowledge of project management concepts and principles.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for overall project performance, including scope, quality, schedule, and innovation, on complex and high-risk projects.
• Serve as the primary communicator with the sponsor and key stakeholders on project issues.
• Manage project finances, scope, cost, scheduling, environmental considerations, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder relationships.
• Coordinate project requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain, and present project status updates to the Program Manager and customer project management leadership.
• Identify and secure project team resources needed for successful execution.
• Review contractor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project scope and terms.
• Lead regularly scheduled project meetings and presentations to align teams and stakeholders.
• Foster working relationships among the project manager, line managers, and assigned team members.
• Manage project costs and develop recovery plans as needed to stay within budget limits.
• Ensure team members understand their responsibilities and deliverables.
• Coach and lead team members in developing task, spending, and communication plans aligned with project goals.
