We are hiring a Senior Training Specialist who will be responsible for the developing and implementing firmwide training programs. The person in this role will be responsible for delivering high-quality training in various formats including written materials, videos, lunch & learn sessions, online courses, and gamification. This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for delivery adult learning in a legal or corporate environment. Primary duties include but are not limited to the following: Training Development and Implementation: Assist with the implementation and management of the firmwide Learning Management System. Enhance training programs with innovative and creative methods to ensure engagement, effectiveness, and alignment with the firm's strategic objectives. Develop and implement training programs that address the firm's training and development needs, based on user needs, management requests, business goals, and Help Desk patterns. Enforce standards for documenting aligned with training, learning & development best practices. Recommend the development and implementation of training procedures and policies. Training Development and Delivery: Maintain training strategies and curricula for the firm’s standard or approved software programs. Design and maintain new employee orientation and continuing education programs tailored to job functions (e.g., lawyer, paralegal, legal practice assistant, administrative staff). Develop and maintain reference guides and software documentation for firm employees. Coordinate and schedule software training classes regularly. Create and publish a training calendar with topics offered at least one month in advance, promoting and ensuring attendance. Evaluate and review training classes offered by third-party organizations, managing these programs when necessary. Support and Collaboration: Continuously update technical knowledge and software skills, learning new software as needed. Maintain a comfortable and professional learning environment in the computer classroom. Senior Training Specialist Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Human Resources, or related field of study. 7+ years’ experience in a law firm or professional services environment. Certifications highly desired. Experience applying adult learning principles, methodologies, and course design techniques. Experience developing and facilitating learning and development. Proven ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries and influencing stakeholders. Experience with building and maintaining Learning Management Systems, courses, participant databases, and training calendars. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including instructional and presentation skills. Personal Attributes: Solid relationship management skills. Ability to motivate and engage staff members. Strong customer service orientation. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly language. Highly self-motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail. Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
