GENERAL FUNCTION: Oversees the training of field installation personnel. Trains newly hired personnel in installation techniques to prepare them for live projects. Supports Training Manager in assessing skill sets and the achievement of those skill sets in written reports. Supports in-house and on-site customer training. This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

Requirements

  • Five years IDS/ACS and CCTV Project Installation experience
  • Two years relevant post-secondary education, or two additional years of relevant experience
  • Excellent customer service, communication, reporting, organization, and documentation skills
  • Demonstrated experience taking initiative to solve problems and overcome obstacles.
  • Strong ability to prioritize projects time management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple competing priorities, simultaneously.
  • Strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Salesforce, PlanGrid, or Klient, a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies necessary skill sets for Installation Field Positions.
  • Train / Advise Field Personnel how to attain those skill sets.
  • Records skill set achieved for numerous personnel.
  • Communicates with Training Manager of progress, issues and concerns of Field Personnel.
  • Assists in keeping the classrooms up on the latest sensors, equipment, software and firmware.
  • Actively participates in New Hire Training to better prepare new employees for Project execution.
  • Develops and provides training on a variety of topics and delivery systems.
  • Strong understanding of Access Control and closed security networks.
  • Requires approximately 40% Travel.
