Senior Track Engineer
About The Position
H&H is seeking a Senior Track Engineer to join its Philadelphia office and contribute to the growth and capabilities of the Passenger Rail & Transit Group. H&H is a nationally recognized, full-service infrastructure engineering firm with more than 139 years of experience and over 600 professionals across 32 offices nationwide. The firm provides services from planning and design through construction and is investing in its people and long-term growth. The Senior Track Engineer will lead track design work and documentation, provide technical guidance and mentoring, support project delivery using OpenRail Designer, and occasionally perform track inspections and field work as needed.
Requirements
- Six to 15 years of relevant experience.
- BS in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience with special trackwork design.
- Fluency with OpenRail Designer.
Nice To Haves
- PE license preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead preparation of track design documents, including plans, specifications, quantities, and design calculations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.
- Lead delivery of track design tasks, including horizontal and vertical geometry and modeling using OpenRail Designer.
- Lead design of track horizontal and vertical alignments, including processing survey data and regression analysis.
- Lead design of special trackwork details for procurement and installation.
- Occasionally perform track inspection and field work as needed.
- Assist in adapting OpenRail Designer workspaces to client-specific standards.
