Senior Test Automation Engineer
About The Position
Our client’s Testing Automation Team is hiring a Senior Test Automation Engineer to build and scale the automated testing backbone that supports fast, stable, and defect-free software releases. The role focuses on designing and building automated test frameworks, partnering with developers and QA engineers on test strategy, and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines that ship production code. The successful candidate will create and maintain automated testing tools and scripts, help define test strategies and acceptance criteria, analyze test results, and support test data and environments. They will also contribute to reviews and sprint planning, improve automated build, test, and deployment processes, investigate production issues, and stay current with testing practices and tools.
Requirements
- Experience with C, C#, JavaScript, and VBScript.
- Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, SQL, and T-SQL.
- Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and WebLoad.
- Experience with TeamCity, Jenkins, GitLab, and Azure DevOps.
- Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and the full SDLC.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with LoadRunner, JMeter, UFT, and ALM / Quality Center.
- Experience building test frameworks from scratch.
- Experience with performance and load testing at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts for functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing.
- Collaborate with software developers and QA engineers to define test strategies, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and identify defects and performance bottlenecks.
- Build and maintain test data and test environments to support testing activities.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and sprint planning to promote testability and quality from the start of feature development.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines that automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- Investigate and troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging test automation tools and techniques.
