About The Position

Lead after-school tennis classes for students in grades K–5 at elementary schools across the Bay Area. Create a fun, supportive environment where children can learn and play. Classes include 8–16 students aged 5–10 and last 1–1.5 hours. Work two or more days per week, Monday through Friday, with classes starting between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.; the stated maximum is 2–5 hours weekly. A two-day training session is provided. The role pays $50–$65 per class.

Requirements

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Passion for working with children and creating a positive learning atmosphere.
• Strong communication skills and a resilient, positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
• Must be local to the US or possess a valid working visa; visa assistance is not provided.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience teaching or playing tennis is preferred but not required.
• USPTA or PTR certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Manage and energize classes of 8–16 students aged 5–10.
• Deliver engaging tennis lessons using provided lesson plans.
• Attend a two-day training session.
• Set up and transport tennis equipment.
• Take attendance and manage student sign-in and sign-out procedures.
• Communicate positively with parents and school staff.
• Provide constructive feedback on each student’s progress.
• Take photos of children during sessions to showcase their progress.
