Youth Tennis Instructor
About The Position
Euro School of Tennis is seeking reliable, energetic, and positive coaches to teach beginner-level programs to children ages 5–10 (Grades K–5) at schools throughout the Bay Area. The role is in person. Company lesson plans and equipment are provided, with the goal of creating a fun, active, and supportive learning environment for young players. Two program options are listed. Regular coaches may teach tennis and other programs Monday through Friday, around 9:00 AM–1:00 PM, at $18–$24 per hour. Saturday tennis clinics are scheduled on Saturdays and/or Sundays, also at $18–$24 per hour. Back-to-back sessions are available for both programs. These opportunities are available to coaches who demonstrate strong tennis and coaching skills. New coaches must attend a two-day unpaid training/shadowing session, with sessions lasting 2–3 hours each.
Requirements
- Be at least 19 years old.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Have strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle.
- Be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Complete required employment screening and documentation.
- Provide a photo and short biography for the company website.
- Currently live in the Bay Area and be available for in-person work.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Playing or coaching experience is preferred but not required.
- USPTA or PTR certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated strong tennis and coaching skills for the listed coaching opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Teach classes using company lesson plans.
- Manage groups of 8–16 students.
- Create a safe and positive learning environment.
- Attend a two-day unpaid training/shadowing session, with sessions lasting 2–3 hours each.
- Take attendance and manage student sign-in and sign-out.
- Communicate professionally with parents and school staff.
- Take a few class photos for program documentation.
