As demand grows for automation, AI-enabled solutions, and operational improvement across IT Operations, we need a disciplined way to identify the right opportunities, assess current processes, and determine where improvements can create measurable value. Without this function, teams risk investing time in low-value ideas, automating inefficient processes, or pursuing solutions that do not address the root cause of operational challenges. This role should function as a Lean Six Sigma / process engineering resource focused on analyzing how work gets done across IT. The individual would help identify bottlenecks, eliminate waste, reduce manual effort, improve handoffs, document process gaps, and determine where automation or process redesign can make IT more effective and efficient. The objective is not simply to automate more work. The objective is to improve how IT operates by understanding the process first, fixing what should be fixed, and then applying automation where it makes sense. By establishing consistent intake, process analysis, opportunity assessment, and governance practices, this role will help improve productivity, delivery efficiency, operational scalability, risk reduction, and the long-term sustainability of our innovation program.
