We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager / Senior Technical Architect to join the GRR Technology team. This role provides senior leadership across US Software Engineering and Global Architecture, with clear accountability for the design, delivery, and ongoing evolution of large‑scale regulatory reporting platforms. This position is suited to an experienced engineering leader who will build, lead, and develop high‑performing teams, fostering strong technical capability and a culture of accountability, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement. The role owns the end‑to‑end delivery of complex US regulatory solutions, spanning architecture and design through development, testing, and deployment. The role provides hands‑on engineering across the US Technology stack, setting technical direction and promoting high‑quality design and delivery standards. The successful candidate will advocate and advance modern Agile delivery practices, influencing both strategy and execution across the teams. In addition, this role plays a key part in people leadership and talent development, including coaching and mentoring, providing constructive feedback, supporting career progression, identifying emerging talent, and fostering future technical leaders, while effectively managing a broad range of stakeholders. The position will also help define and execute the GRR Technology’s architectural strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory obligations, and enterprise-wide standards, while balancing delivery velocity with governance, risk, and control requirements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering with deep expertise across software design, test engineering, DevOps, and application and data architecture
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex, enterprise‑scale technical issues
  • Strong experience and understanding of the regulatory technology landscape, ideally within financial services or similarly regulated environments
  • Demonstrated experience integrating with and managing third‑party and vendor platforms, including vendor‑driven upgrades and dependency management
  • Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to guide and coach engineering teams in the implementation of complex technical designs and architectural patterns
  • Ability to engage, challenge, and influence senior business and technology stakeholders, building trusted relationships and driving alignment
  • Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile and DevOps methodologies, and tooling such as JIRA
  • Experience working within a large, complex, matrixed organization, preferably within financial services or a global enterprise environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to manage difficult conversations and resolve conflict effectively
  • Significant experience operating in matrix management structures, managing multiple reporting lines and geographically distributed teams
  • Demonstrated people leadership and team management experience, including performance management, coaching, mentoring, and developing future leaders
  • Deep understanding of functional and technical architecture, including the ability to create, communicate, and socialize architecture blueprints and roadmaps aligned to global strategy and local regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

  • Builds and manages teams by performing financial activities to inform workforce strategy and hiring practices, setting and tracking maturity and quality objectives, and training employees/teams to address feedback and achieve quality and performance objectives
  • Facilitates performance and career development of employees/teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills
  • Manages solution delivery and application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews), ensuring all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies are met
  • Manages relationships with business and technology partners and leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization
  • Contributes to the technology strategy for their technical domain
  • Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
  • Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with product management and other stakeholders
  • Lead and grow high‑performing engineering teams, building strong technical capability and a culture of accountability, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Own the end‑to‑end delivery of complex US regulatory solutions, from architecture and design through development, testing, and deployment.
  • Define and execute the Global Architectural Strategy for GRR Tech, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory obligations, and enterprise standards.
  • Drive large‑scale architecture initiatives focused on resiliency, scalability, reliability, performance, and business continuity (BCP/DR).
  • Partner closely with business, operations, risk, compliance, and upstream/downstream technology teams locally and globally to represent and deliver the needs of GRR initiatives.
