About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Technology Leader to join their client's Investment Technology team. This is a senior role combining deep engineering with leadership accountability, where you will remain hands-on in code and architecture while leading a distributed team. The focus will be on modernizing and supporting investment platforms with scalable cloud-native architecture, full stack delivery, and robust engineering practices to support Portfolio Management and Trading.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 15+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years in a senior lead / hands-on leadership role
  • Strong command of full stack development: JavaScript (React/Angular), Node.js or Java/.NET/Python, and SQL
  • Hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services (Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, etc)
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or CloudFormation
  • Strong API development and integration experience
  • Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Selenium)
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive cross-functional delivery in a matrixed, global environment
  • Demonstrated ability to remain hands-on in code and architecture while operating at a senior leadership level

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in Asset Management, Investment Banking, or Wealth Management
  • Knowledge of front-office platforms and workflows: OMS, PMS, and risk engines
  • Experience with ETF platforms and fund lifecycle processes
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Python, and event-driven architecture
  • Exposure to regulatory reporting, ESG data pipelines, or performance attribution systems

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the technology strategy aligned with Investments business goals
  • Lead strategic, cross-functional initiatives that drive transformation in investment technology
  • Lead and directly contribute to full stack application development using modern technologies
  • Design and implement scalable, secure APIs with strong monitoring and logging frameworks
  • Lead the development of rich UI components using frameworks such as React or Angular
  • Manage AWS-based infrastructure components and CI/CD pipelines (CloudFormation, Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, etc)
  • Own the production environment and application operations
  • Collaborate with business and product teams to shape requirements and translate them into technical specifications and delivery plans
  • Interface with strategic vendors for issue resolution, feature enhancements, and to ensure robust system integration
  • Provide direction, mentorship, and technical leadership to a distributed team
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, engineering excellence, and ownership
