Reporting to the Lead Technician, Laboratory Support, the primary focus of the candidate is the ability to select relevant electronic input and/or output devices and instrumentation, employ a digital handshake (machine to machine communication) and build data acquisition networks interfaced to a personal computer using the National Instruments LabVIEW hardware/software interface. The candidate will have the ability to develop and customize the LabVIEW software graphical user interface according the client’s needs. A strong knowledge of instrumentation applicable to the field of chemical engineering, signal processing and filtering using electronic circuitry, troubleshooting and repairing electronic devices are fundamental skills for this position.
