About The Position

As a Senior Technician, you will provide basic tech support and troubleshooting for various computer and networking hardware and software. The essential functions of this position include: Basic hardware configuration of servers, desktops and laptops, routers and switches and operating systems. Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs; escalate to engineers as appropriate. Provide deployment and racking of hardware components both desk side and in a data center environment. Serve the customer to ePlus’ standards. Be available to meet customer IT needs. Work towards achieving industry-specific entry-level certifications: i.e.- CCNA, MCSE, Network+, Security+, etc.

Requirements

High School Diploma required, technical school or college preferred
2 to 3 years of experience in an IT profession
A+ certification
Good understanding of network/data center environments
Possess basic troubleshooting and repair skills
Excellent customer service skills on phone and in person
Professional demeanor and good communication skills
Able to come up with solutions quickly, in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

CCNA, MCSE, Network+, Security+ certifications
