About The Position

Interstate Brick is a premier commercial brick manufacturer in the U.S., established in 1891 and part of Pacific Coast Building Products since 1990. Their products are specified by architects and builders nationwide for residential and commercial construction. The CNC Technician operates CNC machine(s) and supports the company's Core Values. This role involves programming, setting up, and running CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts, preparing and modifying CAD and Rhino 3D files, performing regular maintenance on CNC machines, and maintaining a clean work environment. The technician will also collaborate between production and drafting to identify suitable parts for CNC production, prepare stock materials, troubleshoot machinery and software issues, keep records, suggest process improvements, and adhere to all safety policies. Predictable and regular attendance is required.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to work independently and efficiently with attention to detail.
Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
Must be able to make reasonable decisions.
Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

Nice To Haves

Further technical training in CNC operation and CAD drafting preferred.
Familiar with Rhino 3D and CAD software preferred.
Experience in VCarve/Aspire software preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts by programming, setting up, and running the machine.
Prepare and modify files on CAD and Rhino 3D to ensure precision in manufacturing processes.
Regularly perform maintenance tasks on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment and materials are stored properly.
Work between production and drafting to evaluate what pieces can be put into CNC production.
Prepares stock materials for machining.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machinery and software.
Keeps records as requested by supervisor.
Identify and suggest opportunities for process improvement.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures in the workplace.
Performs other duties assigned inside and out of the assigned department.
