About The Position

NextGen Security LLC is seeking an experienced electronic security service technician to join its team. The Senior Technician oversees projects in the field, programs systems, activates and commissions projects, installs field devices, and services high-end integrated security devices. Some travel may be required. The position is based in Baltimore, Maryland, and is listed as a full-time, non-exempt employee role.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience installing and maintaining enterprise-level access control systems, intrusion detection systems (fiber- and copper-based), and IP-based enterprise video management systems.
At least 5 years of experience leading security projects.
At least 3 years of experience supervising subcontractors.
Networking and IT knowledge.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with local electronic security codes and industry standards.
Ability to safely operate a company vehicle; drivers must be at least 21 years old.
Understanding of and ability to work safely in a chemical plant environment.
Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, MS Project, and other Microsoft products.

Nice To Haves

Access control vendor certifications in Software House, Genetec, Open Options, ProWatch, and/or Lenel.
Video management system vendor certifications in Genetec, OnSSI, MaxPro, and/or Milestone.
Intrusion detection system vendor certifications in Senstar/Optellios and/or FFT.
Experience with computer operating systems, network design, and implementation.
TWIC cardholder.
