About The Position

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician for its In-House Repair team. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing electronic assemblies, identifying root causes of failures, and keeping mission-critical fabrication equipment operational. The technician will operate electronic test equipment, test and program a Flying Probe, apply electronic theory and troubleshooting practices, create and maintain troubleshooting procedures, and perform precision soldering and SMT repairs. The position is full-time and on-site.

Requirements

High school diploma with a minimum of 15 years of experience.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and symbols.
Proficiency in through-hole, SMT, and micro-soldering.
Strong understanding of electronic components and circuit operation.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and create repair procedures.
Experience with digital multimeter functions and applications.
Strict adherence to safety standards and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

Operate oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters to diagnose and repair issues with electronics assemblies.
Operate a Flying Probe, including testing and test-sequence programming.
Apply electronic theory of operation principles and troubleshooting best practices.
Create, update, and implement formal troubleshooting procedures.
Perform micro-soldering and SMT precision repair.
Follow safety standards and PPE requirements.
