About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to join our wafer fabrication team in Lawrence, MA. The Equipment Technician will be responsible for performing the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. This role involves troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues, utilizing technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools. The technician will maintain current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues, and study equipment performance and reliability. Additionally, they will establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process, provide technical support to production operators and process engineering organizations, define and write preventative maintenance schedules, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and cleanroom procedures.

Requirements

  • Technical or Military training in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant equipment maintenance and repair experience, semiconductor manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, piping diagrams, and flow charts.
  • Experience in component level troubleshooting of analog and digital circuits.
  • Experience soldering and desoldering components on printed circuit boards.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing cable harnesses.
  • Ability to test and evaluate the condition of electrical components such as transistors, diodes, resistors and capacitors with an analog or digital multimeter.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to equipment safety and performance.
  • U.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States. Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, Permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b (a) (3).
