About The Position
Create and present machine-learning courses for engineers, covering topics from foundational concepts to training their own models. The role begins with one paid course project, which can be completed alongside a current job and typically takes around three months. There is no fixed weekly-hour requirement; the trainer and team agree on a delivery plan. The project may lead to a full-time role or additional course projects. Work with the curriculum team to shape course sections, lessons, labs, and notebooks. Write lab specifications for a dedicated labs team and test the resulting labs. Write and narrate short, story-driven video lessons of about six minutes each, record demonstrations and lab-solution walkthroughs, and respond to structured editorial feedback. Video editing, animation, lab infrastructure, and publishing are handled by the production team. The work is fully remote with flexible hours. It involves a weekly sync, Slack communication, and some time-zone overlap with a Europe/Asia-based team. Compensation is a fixed fee per course, agreed upfront based on course length and topic complexity, and paid upon delivery of the completed course.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on machine-learning foundations, including experience training, evaluating, and shipping models using scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Ability to clearly explain the reasoning behind machine learning to engineers new to the subject.
- Excellent spoken and written English, with clear, natural, easily understood delivery.
- Confidence on camera.
- A genuine passion for teaching, demonstrated through courses, tutorials, talks, workshops, or mentoring.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the field and willingness to continue learning.
- Openness to an established teaching methodology and editorial feedback.
Nice To Haves
- Published online courses, a book, or university or bootcamp teaching experience.
- Experience with fine-tuning, MLOps, or deploying models in production.
- Cloud ML certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, or Databricks.
Responsibilities
