About The Position

The client is seeking a Sr. Technical Solution Architect with strong hands-on expertise in Nutanix and VMware infrastructure, particularly VMware-to-Nutanix AHV migrations. This is a 100% onsite contract role in New York, NY, for 12+ months. The role requires the candidate to be local to NY and possess a valid driver's license. The architect will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions, with a focus on migration best practices.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on expertise in Nutanix and VMware infrastructure.
• Expertise in VMware-to-Nutanix AHV migrations.
• Nutanix Administration & Cluster Deployment.
• VMware vSphere → Nutanix AHV migration.
• Nutanix Hypervisor migration best practices.
• Windows Server/Linux.
• Active Directory/GPO.
• RAID/storage.
• DNS/DHCP/networking/firewalls.
• PowerShell/Bash scripting.
• Backup & disaster recovery.
• Patching/firmware.
• Monitoring and performance optimization.
• 5+ years of relevant IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong Nutanix/VMware design and implementation background.
• Ability to provide onsite/on-call support.
• Ability to travel to Con Edison locations when required.
• Must be local to NY.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
