About The Position

As a member of our Global Talent team, a Senior Tech Recruiter owns and drives the recruiting process from end-to-end across Fastly, cultivating teams of great people for a variety of technical divisions (i.e. Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Product, etc.). You will partner closely with hiring managers as a trusted advisor to develop strategies to identify and hire top performing candidates and work with the wider People Team to deliver a best-in-class candidate experience. We are seeking a seasoned Recruiter who brings a passion for technology with a focus on creativity and solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years progressive technical recruiting experience in a highly technical, engineering organization. In house experience required
  • Experience hiring for multiple highly specialized, very senior, and niche positions simultaneously
  • Ability to proactively source + attract passive talent in the industry through multiple methods and channels
  • Demonstrated expertise at partnering cross-functionally with senior leadership to drive collaborative decisions and think outside the box
  • Flexibility to support multiple functions within our Tech teams
  • Excellent interviewing skills with ability to screen for both technical and team fit
  • A commitment to building diverse and inclusive teams where collaboration and respect are just as important as technical ability.
  • Extensive tech industry knowledge with ability to identify target companies, conferences and other sources for top industry-related talent
  • Strong track record of monitoring their metrics and delivering against targets - both quantitative and qualitative
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions & work within structured hiring processes
  • Strong consultative and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, as well as externally
  • An autonomous, self starter who demonstrates continuous learning and ambiguity tolerance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience hiring low-level, distributed systems, infrastructure, and/or network engineers.
  • Experience supporting hiring teams with facilitating technical assessments
  • Experience implementing AI sourcing and productivity tools
  • Knowledge of Employment and HR policies, compensation models, talent planning, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Work with hiring managers across one or more verticals to craft job postings and devise recruitment strategies to hire high performing talent
  • Influence Hiring teams to monitor and improve candidate experience
  • Source and engage passive candidates
  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process from job creation through the candidate’s start date, with an emphasis on building strong hiring manager partnerships and candidate advocacy
  • Strategize creative ways to build talent pipelines and execute on tactical research, referral generation, events and sourcing campaigns
  • Screen resumes and interview candidates to determine position + value add
  • Manage interview logistics and hiring decision-making process with interviewers and hiring managers
  • Regularly track pipeline, priorities and performance data to share with internal stakeholders
  • Drive offer negotiations & process in partnership with hiring managers and Compensation team
  • Recommend improvements to sourcing, process and candidate outreach
  • Participate in operational and TA related projects
