About The Position

We are looking for a full-time, permanent Technical Project Manager (all genders) to join our PMO team as soon as possible. We embrace a remote-first approach (within Germany), but you can choose whether you’d like to work in a hybrid model or entirely on-site, depending on your proximity to one of our locations (Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich). As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you are a cornerstone of strategy execution at Contabo – and you're joining at a time when a lot is moving strategically. Alongside the continued evolution of our existing cloud infrastructure, we are driving initiatives that will expand our portfolio well beyond what exists today over the coming years. This is exactly where your role comes in: embedded in our PMO, you take end-to-end ownership of technical projects across development teams and business functions – including initiatives for which no blueprint exists yet, where you help shape structures from the ground up. You work at the intersection of technology and business: you translate sometimes still ambiguous requirements into executable plans, actively challenge requirements, and structure initiatives into scalable roadmaps, iterations, and implementation phases. In your day-to-day work, you coordinate priorities, dependencies, and delivery sequencing across multiple teams and parallel workstreams, identify resource bottlenecks and delivery risks early, and ensure transparency through structured reporting, clear governance, and effective escalation management – especially when scope and priorities shift in our fast-moving environment. You'll be working with tools like Jira, Confluence, and comparable solutions. Beyond individual projects, you shape the PMO itself: you continuously develop our standards and processes, support portfolio alignment and prioritisation, and share your knowledge as a mentor to junior project managers. A lean PMO at Contabo means a high degree of autonomy and genuine ownership – you report directly to the Head of Strategy Execution & ESG and contribute measurably to the execution of Contabo's strategic roadmap.
