•$160,000 - $175,000•Hybrid

About The Position

At Tinder, the Recs, Revenue, and Engagement teams shape the core user experience through personalized recommendations, timely re-engagement, and helping users succeed on the platform. The Senior Technical Program Manager drives high-impact cross-functional programs across these teams while keeping their day-to-day operations running smoothly. The role partners with Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Localization to structure evolving plans and priorities, resolve dependencies, and deliver user experiences at global scale. This role owns program delivery from planning through launch, including recommendation infrastructure and models; subscriptions, payments, and advertising; and lifecycle messaging and the CRM platform. It coordinates dependencies and ownership across product teams and mobile, backend, machine learning, and web engineering, improves processes, manages risks, and communicates program health and recommended paths forward to senior leadership. The position is hybrid, with in-office collaboration three days per week, in Los Angeles or Palo Alto, California.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of Technical Program Management experience for consumer mobile products at scale.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of concurrent programs across multiple teams and maintaining delivery plans, dependency maps, release plans, and risk registers as priorities change.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with product managers, engineering leads, and senior leadership, build cross-functional relationships, and influence outcomes in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • AI fluency and hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor to automate routine program management work and accelerate cross-functional communication.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Jira and Jira Product Discovery, including configuring views, fields, and workflows; proficiency with Confluence, Google Suite, and Figma.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with subscription billing and payments, including Apple in-app purchase, Google Play Billing, web checkout, or alternative payment programs in regulated markets.
  • Working knowledge of the ML project lifecycle, from feature and data readiness through offline training and evaluation to online experimentation and rollout, and understanding of how planning for model work differs from feature work.
  • Experience with programmatic advertising, including ad placements, mediation, or SDK integrations on iOS and Android.
  • Familiarity with lifecycle and CRM messaging platforms such as push, SMS, and email, and related opt-in and regional compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting recommendations, ranking, or personalization; monetization such as subscriptions, payments, or ads; or growth and lifecycle messaging.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact programs across Recs, Revenue, and Engagement, from planning through launch.
