About The Position

Code Metal is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex initiatives across its growing engineering organization. The role partners with Product, Engineering, Research, and Solutions to advance Code Metal’s AI-powered code translation and verification platform. Working closely with technical and product leaders, the Senior Technical Program Manager translates strategic priorities into coordinated engineering programs, guides initiatives through the development lifecycle, and supports successful end-to-end delivery.

The position requires technical fluency and the ability to navigate complex dependencies and tradeoffs while balancing near-term execution with long-term product and platform goals. As the organization grows, the role will help shape how engineering programs are planned, executed, and scaled, building a foundation for continued innovation and product growth.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, leading complex, cross-functional software development programs.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, system architecture, and engineering practices.
• Experience supporting end-to-end product development, from proof of concept through production.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional programs and managing dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive progress in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-informed approach to decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across teams and leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience in AI/ML, developer tools, code transformation, or software platform technologies.
• Experience working on research-driven product development and translating emerging technologies into commercial products.
• Experience in a startup or high-growth technology company, contributing to the development and scaling of engineering execution practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of complex technical programs spanning research, engineering, infrastructure, and product development.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to define program objectives, milestones, success criteria, and delivery expectations.
• Develop and manage integrated execution plans, proactively addressing dependencies, risks, and shifting priorities.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and tradeoffs, and help drive timely decisions across workstreams.
• Define and track program metrics with teams, measuring progress, product quality, and technical readiness to inform decisions and improvements.
• Identify recurring challenges and opportunities to build shared capabilities that strengthen the overall product and platform.
• Communicate program progress, risks, and key decisions clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
• Establish and refine program management practices that improve planning, coordination, accountability, and delivery predictability.
